Alan Carness, DMD

Dr. Carness earned his degree in dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1973. He completed a dental internship at the Berkshire Medical in 1974 and a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital Center in 1977.
He was on staff at Beth Israel Medical Center for over 30 years and has actively taught in the oral surgery residency program at Metropolitan Hospital since 1978. He is also an associate clinical professor at New York Medical College.

Dr. Carness is a founding partner of Greenwich Oral Surgery and has practiced in the same location for over 37 years in our state-of-the-art facility on 10th Street. He has extensive experience in most phases of oral surgery and has a special interest in implantology and bone grafting.
Dr. Carness is a member of the American Association or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Dental Association.
